Philosophy

We believe that young children learn in a variety of ways. We believe it is the responsibility of the teacher to assist each child in developing a love of learning. We want children to be excited about learning.

It is our goal to provide a warm, caring, Christian environment for each child which will nourish him/her spiritually, socially, emotionally and physically. While recognizing that each child masters specific skills on an individual basis, our program is designed to help children acquire the skill necessary for learning. PRESCHOOLERS LEARN THROUGH…

  • Art
  • Dramatic play
  • Bible Stories & songs
  • Music and movement
  • Field trips
  • Getting messy
  • Story time/circle time
  • Asking lots of questions
  • Feeling safe
  • Age-appropriate playground activities
  • Large and small motor activities
  • Discovery and exploration
  • Developing social skills
  • Building self-esteem
  • Self-directed learning
  • Loving and skilled teachers.
Children are God's most precious gift. We have a responsibility to love and care for them in a safe and secure environment. Each week they will attend Children's Chapel where they will learn Bible stories through songs, movement and finger plays. A variety of experiences will be offered during Children's Chapel, including the "Godly Play" format.
